The Throttlers have been around since 1949 and was one of two car clubs in Modesto at the time with the other being the Century Toppers. The Throttlers are the third oldest car club in California with at one time over 100 members that reached as far as Stockton and Lodi. The Throttlers are one of the few clubs with one of its original members still active in the club. The Throttlers are a non-profit organization that have raised over $20 thousand dollars for the Faith Home Teen Ranch for Boys. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Throttlers Car Club, you should attend one of our meetings held every first, and third Monday of the month, (unless a holiday prevails), at Perko's Restaurant at 7pm. The restaurant is located in the Crossroads Shopping Center at northwest corner of Carpenter Rd., and Kansas Av., Modesto. The Modesto Throttlers would like to let everyone know that Teen Challenge is doing weekly fund raising car washes at the Abundant Life Church on Canal Street between Berkley & TID in Turlock Fridays From 1-5pm, and Saturdays 9am-4:30pm Please help support Teen Challenge by having your car washed.
